- On an iPhone running iOS 10 or later, two-factor authentication must be already enabled.
- Your iPhone is already logged into iCloud.
- Your iPhone is secured with a password.

- Select your name at the top of the Settings app.
- Select Password & Security.
- Change the password.
- Enter the passcode for your iPhone.
- You can now type in your new password, and then confirm it
- Choose Change.
How to Perform an Apple ID Password Reset on a Computer
Here's how to reset your forgotten iCloud password on your computer if you don't have two-factor authentication enabled.
- Open a browser on your computer and go to the Apple ID account page (iforgot.apple.com)
- Click on Reset Password
- You'll then be directed to a page where you must enter your Apple ID which is the email address associated with your Apple ID account and the images in a Captcha
- After that, click Continue and confirm your phone number
- You must now choose between resetting your password on a different device and using the trusted phone number you provided.
- It will tell you which device has received instructions for resetting your Apple ID.
- Open the listed device. A message will appear asking you to reset your password. Select Allow.
- To unlock the device, enter the passcode.
- Then enter and confirm your new password. Tap Next.
